Rona Altrows

Rona Altrows writes fiction, essays, plays, and hybrid works. Her three books of short fiction are A Run on Hose, which won the City of Calgary W.O. Mitchell Book Prize, Key in Lock, and At This Juncture, which won the 2020 silver IPPY award for best regional fiction. Her short stories and essays have appeared in many print and digital magazines, most recently Prairie Journal of Canadian Literature (Issue 80, fall 2023), Queen's Quarterly (Spring 2023), Prairie Journal of Canadian Literature (Issue 80, fall 2023) and Isele Magazine (December 2022). Rona is also a freelance editor of books and shorter works. She has edited and co-edited anthologies, including You Look Good for Your Age, which explores ageism against women. She is co-producer of Gimme 10 Minutes, afternoons of 10-minute plays, which will partner with the Calgary Public Library for its 2024 shows.
